11/20/14 Workout Recap - Breaststroke Turn/Pullout Technique

11/20/14 - All Levels 

w/u: 200 freestyle
         200 kick w/ fins on your side, bottom arm outstretched
         200 IM drill

PS: 10 x 50 with snorkel @ :10sR
- 25 high elbow scull out in front/25 freestyle focusing on head position
(500/1100)

MS: 2 ROUNDS OF THE FOLLOWING*: *For those that physically cannot swim breaststroke, your option is to either dolphin kick your breast, or simply select an alternate stroke.

LEVEL 2 - just do 1 round

10 x 25 Breaststroke from middle of pool @ :10sR
- we’re practicing turns here, people!!  Think to video Coach sent you yesterday - tight, tight, tight into wall - touch with head IN water; “elbow your brother, call your mother”

5 x 50 freestyle @ :50/:55/1:00 focus on head position
*1:15/1:30 for Level 2

10 x 25 Breaststroke (wall-to-wall) @ :10sR
- we’re practicing PULLOUTS this time.  Think again to video Coach sent you yesterday - strong push off wall, dolphin kick does NOT start until hands separate, keep head tucked/arms tight into first stroke.  Do NOT lift head to break streamline

5 x 50 freestyle @ :50/:55/1:00 focus on head position
(2000/3100) OR 2100 for Level 2

C/D: 100 ez
(100/3200) OR 2200 for Level 2
