Butterfly is No Longer Considered a Short-Axis Stroke!

The Race Club put out a terrific piece regarding no longer treating butterfly as a short-axis stroke.  If you take a look at today's leading flyers of the world - Phelps, Shields, Le Clos - it's actually a concept that makes total sense.  Flyers are very much FORWARD-moving at all times; the up-and-down undulation once taught as part of the butterfly stroke is certainly a thing of the past.  Read through the article to take away a few points YOU can incorporate into your own stroke to see immediate benefits!  Personally, I like the analogy of Phelps' head sticking out like a turtle's.  :)
